We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Systems Administrator to join us at our unique Head Office in Renfrew, which includes our state-of-the-art gym with weekly circuit training, a personal trainer and yoga classes as well as the Beeks Bar or weekly masseuse to help you unwind!

About The Role

As a Junior Systems Administrator, you’ll be a key part of our fast-paced DevSecOps team, providing essential first-line technical support to our internal users. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise in a dynamic, collaborative environment while contributing to the smooth operation of our IT systems.

You'll play a crucial role in managing support tickets, troubleshooting technical issues, and onboarding new users, ensuring our teams can operate efficiently. With hands-on exposure to system maintenance, networking, virtual server management, and security, this is an ideal role for someone eager to learn, grow, and advance your Tech career. 

Key Responsibilities

• Management of support desk tickets, escalating and collaborating where appropriate and ensuring a high level of communication and interaction with the reporter.
• Provisioning new users, including laptop and account setup, while supporting the onboarding process and ensuring adequate stock for future hires.
• Provide first line technical support to internal users in person and via the support desk portal, which may involve resolving connectivity issues, managing accounts and controlling access permissions.
• Involvement in system maintenance and patching.
• Assisting in monitoring the health of systems and troubleshooting to resolve issue.
• Creation and maintaining detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes.
• Assisting in virtual server and software installation and configuration.

Essential Skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
• Working knowledge of Windows Administration.
• Basic knowledge of Linux shell.
• Understanding of Networking concepts.
• Ability to work with a wide range of technical and non-technical users.
• Excellent communication skills and proactive attitude.
• Desire to learn on the job.

Desirable Skills

• Bash / Python scripting.
• VMWare exposure.
• Ansible exposure.
• Understanding of Source Control.

Experience & Qualifications 

• Computer related qualifications,industry recognised certifications or at least 1-year hands on experience is desirable.
